In 2004, Mirae Asset PE introduced the first native private equity fund in Korea. Since then, we have been a pioneer in the development of Korea’s private equity industry by undertaking both traditional buyout and growth capital investments as well as engineering mezzanine investments involving strategic partners.
Most notably, we successfully acquired Acushnet – a collection of leading golf brands including Titleist and Footjoy – and executed the company’s IPO in NYSE in 2016. Bringing strong returns to our limited partners, the deal was awarded the “Best Deal of the Year” by FinanceAsia.
